Who Are the LAC Volunteers

Volunteers at the Legal Assistance Center come from throughout the community. Homemakers,retired social workers and attorneys provide valuable services to the staff and patrons of the LAC. Additionally, paralegal and law school students gain practical, hands-on experience in providing legal information and resources to patrons with legal problems. How Can I Become a Volunteer?

If you would like to become a volunteer at the LAC, please fill out an application and mail or FAX it to Valerie Ambrose, Executive Director. She will then telephone you to schedule an interview with her and the staff attorney, Chris Gilman. Volunteers are also required to attend a half-day orientation and training session to become familiar with the LAC services and general court procedures.
