VALERIE AMBROSE, Executive Director - With over 20 years of human services and hospital senior management experience, Ms. Ambrose joined the staff of the LAC in the summer of 2007. She received her BA from Texas Christian University and completed her graduate studies at Western Theological Seminary. An ordained minister she is committed to equipping and assisting persons who strive to reach their full potential. Her familiarity with the human service network in west Michigan will serve the LAC well as it continues to expand its services, educational programs and accessibility to its patrons and the community-at-large. NATALIE LEHMAN, Program Administrator - Natalie Lehman proudly joined the LAC in the fall of 2006. Natalie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University, and has plans for graduate study in the coming years. She has worked in a variety of capacities around the city, including substitute teaching with the Grand Rapids Public Schools, election campaign work, senior case management, and community organizing. Bi-lingual in Spanish, Natalie provides a valuable resource for the Spanish-speaking community trying to resolve civil court matters. VICKIE HANNIGAN , Paralegal – Vickie was appointed as a staff member in April 2005 after volunteering since the LAC’s inception. Vickie received her Bachelors in Paralegal Studies from Davenport University in 2001. Her prior experience includes paralegal work for a family law attorney, in addition to extensive volunteer service. Vickie is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association's Legal Assistant Section and is an affiliate member of the State Bar of Michigan. In addition, Vickie is studying Spanish to better serve our increasing Latino population. SHERRI NOSEK, Bookkeeper/Program Assistant - A LAC volunteer since September of 2005, Sherri became the program’s part-time bookkeeper in April 2006. She holds a BS degree in Communications, and completed a Paralegal Certification program from WOLI in April of 2004. Her contributions to the organization include bookkeeping functions, fund development support and patron assistance support when needed. |
